Surf With Us
The traditional Indonesian surf season is April to October. We run 2 daily boat trips to about 10 nearby surf spots. Our surf guides will make sure you are on the best possible waves for your level of surfing. We run multiple boats if necessary to make sure our guests are as stoked as possible! The Mentawai is known for perfect waves, and our waves do not disappoint! Intermediate surfers will find plenty of options if the swell is small to medium sized. Beginners and intermediates alike will enjoy Ombak Tikus which is a friendlier option when the swell is up.

Telescopes
This world class spot is the best wave in the area. A solid swell can produce 200 meters of fast sections and perfect tubes which can be surfed on all tides. Telescopes is a more user friendly than most waves of this caliber and can be surfed by intermediate surfers up to head high+. With a bit of luck you might have some of the best waves of your life at Tellys.

Tellys is just epic.
Suicides
Also known as Ariks. This is called Suicides by many locals and surf operators. It’s a shallow right in front of Toska that needs medium to high tide. Suicides is a rippable wall with hollow sections that is consistent during the surf season. Watch it from your hammock at Toska and wear your reef boots!

Icelands
The most consistent spot in the Central Mentawai. South swell comes out of deep water and throws a left hand ledge. Icelands picks up loads of swell and is surfable at any tide. When it's small it can be suitable for most skill levels, but Iceys has bombs for advanced surfers only on big days!

Ombak Tidur
A sectiony, fast right that likes high and outgoing tide. Ombak Tidur can be fickle, but keep an eye on it from Toska.

Scarecrows
Approximately 40 minutes by boat from Toska. This left picks up more swell than Telescopes and also has some classic barrel sections and rippable walls. Scarecrows is a world class wave when everything comes together. Note: A fuel surcharge may be added for boating here due to the longer distance.

Ombak Tikus
A softer, friendlier left hander enjoyed by intermediates and some beginners. Tikus needs solid swell to be head high. Bring your fun board!
Ombak Toska
A fickle and very shallow left in front of Toska that can be fun with solid swell and a very high tide.

Secret Spots
There are other quality waves in the area which will not be mentioned, but our local guide will be happy to share with you.
